Canada releases National Action Plans on Open Government every two years. Following standards set by the international Open Government Partnership(External link) (OGP), we develop and report on plans that formalize Canada’s commitment to open, accountable, and transparent government.
In 2018, over 10,000 people helped shape our current national action plan through in-person and online events. With our current National Action Plan on Open Government(External link) coming to a close in June 2021, it is now time for us to consult with Canadians and stakeholder organizations to help shape the next plan.
From November 9 to December 11, 2020, we’ll be connecting with Canadians online, through virtual events and online discussion forums, to hear what you want to see in Canada’s 5th National Action Plan on Open Government.
Your input will form the basis for conversations throughout the Government of Canada to create draft commitments for the plan. We will then come back for a second round of consultations in the spring 2021 to see if we heard you right!
